Located in the municipalities of Bennwihr and Sigolsheim, near to Colmar, this limestone-marl terroir composed mainly of oolitic limestone is ideal for Gewurztraminer.

Well-structured, robust wine with plenty of body and complex aromas of spices, exotic fruits, flowers and roses.  Wonderfully balanced on the palate, yet retaining a fresh, saline finish. Ideal as an apéritif, with foie gras, strong cheeses (blue-veined cheeses, munster, maroilles) as well as with certain desserts. It may easily be kept for a few years, which will ensure the full extent of its mineral character appears.
