Our vines on the Kritt, an Eichoffen terroir, are 50 to 60 years old. The Gewurztraminer produced on this silt-clay soil boasts delicate notes of spices and rose on the nose and always maintains a fine balance and excellent minerality on the palate. A great accompaniment for gourmet cooking and foods (strong cheeses, Asian dishes, desserts) as it will bring the flavour out of these dishes without overpowering them.
Pale yellow colour. Varietally typical, inviting nose, evoking exotic fruit (lychee) and flowers (roses). Supple, slightly fruity mouthfeel. Light. Very drinkable. Guide Gilbert et Gaillard 2009.
